MUSEA Curate Shiloh Sophia

Shiloh Sophia Drum

When I was 23, my life changed forever. I discovered the Blessed Mother and felt the roots of my soul deepen. In Her, I found a divine presence missing from my story—a Mother. My art awakening became inseparable from my spiritual awakening with Her.

December 12 honors the Virgin de Guadalupe, the most visited Divine Feminine image in the world. Millions come to Her with prayers, gratitude, grief, and surrender. She became an integral part of my faith and creative journey, guiding me to leave behind my corporate life, embrace art, and dedicate myself to Intentional Creativity.

She chose me through Her image—a candle I found in San Francisco began my journey. I searched scripture, myths, and my own heart to understand Her. My first book, Color of Woman, reflects that time of learning and drawing Her presence.

Guadalupe inspires my work and testimony. I dedicate my life to serving Her and Jesus, creating sacred work in their honor. Blessings to you on your path.

This painting, Our Lady of Faith, created at 30, was my first major piece inspired by Her.

"I am your merciful mother… listen to their lamentations, and remedy all their miseries, afflictions, and sorrows." —Guadalupe to Juan Diego

"Our Lady of the Mycelial Network - She’s the mother of communication, connection, nourishment, and support. She sends underground messages, through unseen avenues and releases her fruiting bodies up to the surface of the earth where they can be appreciated and utilized. She’s the Mother of Transformation…she takes the old and makes it new, she gives death in order to give life. The moon, the stars, all the planets, trees, flowers, and animals know her name. She whispers love as she breathes."

Gail Faith Edwards

"Fabulous class - so many powerful reminders."

"What a beautiful weekend with you all.

Rebirthing myself today was a deeply moving experience. The words that came as she came through the birth portal, from the liminal into being in this world:

“I am SO happy you are here! Welcome…”

I repeated these words over and over and I held her, little me, and then rested with that new and needed imprint.

Simple words, but deep."

Deer Mother By Beck Tai

"Painting with the Matrica course was so tranquil and affirming! The interaction with the canvas, paint, and community of painters felt like being in a paint induced euphoria! Shiloh's style of painting and teaching is a perfect match for me. It truly is magic to feel oneself being transformed through the process of Intentional Creativity. Saying yes to this opportunity has started my year off with a beautiful clarity about my path for the new year. It really is a form of self-care and meditation to give oneself to the process. Absolutely inspiring! And as a bonus, I love my painting!"

Becky Tai

"Deer Mother energy has been working with me this year. Excited to see what emerges! Grieving for all that our foremothers have endured and swelling with pride that they got through the best they could. Prayers for all who are embodied, in female and male forms, during this intense time of transition. Bursting with gratitude for the amazing, brave, talented, and loving members of this community, most especially our Maestra Shiloh Sophia and her beautiful scientist/chef partner, Jonathan."

Gina Rivers

"WOW! What a wonderful class! Thank you, Shiloh! I decided to take the class when I saw we were going to explore mycelium and its symbolism with the Great Mother.

This is the image and the symbols that came forward for me. She is the Great Mother of all Creation. Connected to the heavens above with the earth below with all the wonders of life experienced in the middle."

A warm welcome from Shiloh Sophia

Dear Beloved Hearts: Be Welcome Here! All are welcome to join us. All faiths, all lands, all genders, all moods, all timelines - all are welcome in the gardens of the Sacred Feminine. You can think of her as a loving mothering presence, always ready to remother us from our feelings of separation and invite us into the awareness of interconnection. She is the matrice that is a divine design of loving presence and regeneration running through everything that is energy and everything that is matter.

The abundance of Her Embrace reaches from the depths of the earth to the farthest reaches of the cosmos.  Everything we can see and not see. She is the generous presence of life itself, flowing through every single particle and every single wave. She is the interconnected network that flows as a currency inviting all to the awareness that she is everywhere at once.

She is a divine organization alive in every living ecosystem. She is the organization intelligence.

Have you ever thought about how the constellations mirror the networks of the mycelium in a pattern of interconnectivity?

What about the neuro networks of the brain and how information fires and wires throughout the body?

Did you know that human beings from a math perspective are the exact perfect ratio between the smallest known thing and the largest known thing?

The sacred lattice, a matrix that organizes all of life is here and ever-present and offering regeneration. This is why I have hope for our future. Because when we truly understand that everything that is here that we know about on earth has a regenerative nature, a capacity to renew itself age after age.

Well, the image of the mother is like that regenerative earth. No matter how much the systems of oppression over the past 10,000 years have tried to suppress the feminine, specifically girl children and the mother herself, it cannot be so. Without wombs, our species would cease to exist. So why has there been such an effort to harm, hide and dishonor the mother in her various forms?

The qualities of nurturing and mothering are not only for those who are women but for all beings. Mothering energy seeks no harm and wishes only well for all of her children. How might this be helpful for us?

About the EMBRACE Experience

In The Beginning Was The Word

Painting by Shiloh Sophia

Embrace is an invitation to:

Experience the embrace of life – what does it feel like to be held in a quantum way?

Reconnect with the mothering energy – what is missing within ourselves and our relationships?

Create a weave of healing energy through our bodies and fields – when we gather across the globe, broadcasting from the Mothership (MUSEA’s Campus), a potential opens up. What is that potential and how can we work with it for a greater healing capacity?

Discover and design a new framework in your idea of mother/mothering/matriarch - What is the connection between our relationship with earth mothers, the earth as mother, and the mother within our spiritual traditions?

Transform your relationship with how you think of earth. Instead of seeing mother earth as a host to live on, or as ‘in trouble’ and humans as the predators – what else might be possible for how you have been thinking?

Resiliency isn’t just a buzzword, it’s a practice. Here at Musea we ‘practice’ resiliency by creating a new relationship with our resourcefulness. Let’s reframe the stress response framework of fight, flight, freeze, fawn, and flop and become conscious of more options together. Then let’s truly practice as a community – having options as we encounter stress.

Learn the historical timeline of the feminine, and become conscious of how she has been with us throughout time.

Healing Our Relationship to the Feminine...

Here at MUSEA, we are focused on creating partnerships with one another and the earth and stars. However, if we haven’t healed our relationship with our understanding of the feminine, going forward into partnership will always cause issues.

Mommy issues of all kinds, and Daddy issues of all times, are continuing to create havoc in our lives – and for good reason – they are the living matrix from which you sprang. And while it may not always be possible to heal with our in person parental units, healing is possible with our framing of mothering and fathering.

For this journey we will not be focusing on your specific human family – rather let’s focus on the interconnection with all of life in our approach. To heal, we don’t always need to go to the wound.

MUSEA stands for Museum, University, Sanctuary, Ecosystem, and Apothecary. We will engage in a holistic ceremony with our community.

This full moon retreat is part ritual, part teaching, part meditation, song and part painting. You don’t need to finish it in the time it is offered, the videos are yours to keep and you will be able to continue to work with the material.

While we won't be focusing on a specific Mother or Madonna - we will tune into the power of all Mothers throughout time.

The Intentional Creativity® Approach

Intentional Creativity means to create with love and mindfulness. It is super-duper simple and very profound. We will work step by step to build our base of images. YET the deepest part is the inquiry of HOW you arrive at the images with your information and the translations. Your Muse always knows the way. Follow its nudges!

You don't need painting experience to do this kind of painting.

The more wild and free, the better!

What students say about Intentional Creativity

"Painting is self-therapy, rewriting my story, healing old wounds, discovering inner archetypes, keeping my sanity during these wild times, opening up to divine guidance, listening to my soul’s whispers, bathing in silence and colors, active self-love, getting into flow and more."

Sylvia Becker-Hill

"Each encounter with Shiloh Sophia is an infusion of courage that brings me one step further along the road to authentically “knowing” who I am and being willing to share that with others….."

Elizabeth Gibbons

"I was once very creative and never thought those divine doors would open for me again, then along came Shiloh Sophia, she is showing me the way back to the path as it unfolds day by day. I feel so blessed to have found her. Working with her is joyful and powerful on many levels. "
