Come celebrate Earth with us during our Equinox Ceremony co-hosted by MUSEA’s Founding Curate Shiloh Sophia and our Creative Doula Kathleen Brigidina.

MUSEA’s CURA Council’s 500 Year Vision for the Quantum Commons

A vision for 8 Ceremonies following the Wheel of the Year for 500 years. Imagining where we might be in 20 generations stretches the eye of the heart to see in the spaces in between the spaces to find an inter-generational quantum commons.

You are warmly invited to gather in the turning of the seasonal wheel, when day and night stand in perfect balance, for our Equinox Ceremony infused with ancestral Celtic spirit. A weaving of old ways and intentional creativity. At this sacred threshold, we honor not only time but the ancient rhythm of the land itself. The Equinox was once marked on Ireland’s sacred landscapes, written into stone at Newgrange, where sunlight illuminated carved spirals and symbols at the meeting of shadow and light. The land was, and still is, the great teacher offering us balance, harvest, and renewal. We gather in remembrance of this truth: we are interwoven with the land and we embody all the elements.

We will open the circle by calling upon the four elements, as our ancestors once did: rooted in the cycles of Earth and sky.

We will be guided by keepers of ancient gifts:

  • Shiloh Sophia will be sending her intentions from Europe where she is on pilgrimage.
  • Kathleen will hold sacred space throughout the ceremony as well as guide us on “The Path of Balance”, a guided visualization she created inspired by Irish Celtic ritual. Together, we will walk the sacred path between light and dark, kindle a symbolic fire, and lay our creative offerings upon the altar of the land and the turning year.
  • Lisa Williams and Daria Cronic, our Storytellers / seanchaí, whose role it was to be the keeper of ancestral stories and wisdom, will each read from their recently published books and share the artwork they created during our Animystica course.
  • Asa Larsson, singer and musician will be our Keeper of the Song, historically lifting ancestral melodies, inviting us to sing back to the rivers, stones, and trees that hold memory.

This gathering is a creative rite of passage, inviting your own expression whether through journal, sketch, song, or movement to become part of the ceremony. Creativity flows here not just as art, but as offering to Earth, to the ancestors, and to the generations yet to come.

May this Equinox circle be a wellspring of inspiration, remembrance, and belonging as we walk in the footsteps of those who came before us, root ourselves in the land that holds us, and caretaker for those yet to come.
